Miss Ringland

My Education

I grew up in the small town of Falfurrias, Texas. Since then, I have moved around all over the state of Texas. I ended up graduating High School in Lovelady, TX. After High School, I pursued my dream of cheerleading/dancing at the college level. I did this at Ranger College and Angelina College. After my dancing days, I transfered to SFA. I graduated from SFA with a bachelor's of science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization in Early Childhood.

My Family

I have been blessed with a warm and nuturing family. Both of parents are secondary educators at Coleman ISD. My father teaches history at the High School and coaches football, boys basketball, and golf. My mother teaches English and theatre at the High School. My brother, Kirk, is now a senior in college at Texas State. Education is something my family always supported me in and I'm very thankful for that.

I have two cats of my own.  Their names are Fidrych and Cabrera.  My love for the Detroit Tigers influenced me on their names!

My name is Angelan Ringland and I love teaching!  This is my fifth year teaching Kindergarten at Shepherd ISD.  I also coach the JV Cheer Squad at the High School.

My philosophy is that children need to be taught in strategies that apply to all types of learners: auditory (hear it), visual (see it), and kinesthetic (do it). I hope your child enjoys school and becomes a life-long learner. It is truely a blessing to be working with your child and I anticipate a great year!
